Delicious vegan pizza for the whole family.

At Just Plants, we love vegan pizza! And we know that there are a lot of other people who do too. Pizza often has a slightly bad reputation, among the health conscious. But in this recipe, we want to re-brand the pizza with some good nutritious ingredients that make it a valid classic for the evening meal and for the packed lunch.

150g. Grahamflour
70g. Wheat flour
1,5 dl. lukewarm water
10g. yeast
½ tsp salt
Tip: Use durum flour to shape the dough

Tomato sauce
1 ds. chopped tomatoes
2 tsp. tomato puree
½ apple (grated)
1 cloves of garlic
½ onion
3 tsp. balsamic
2 tsp. dried oregano
½ tsk. salt
½ tsk. pepper

Pizza filling
1,5 Onions + ½ tsp. cane sugar
1 DL. water
1 tsp. cane sugar
75g. Mushroom
¼ broccoli
½ peppers

Optional: Add sliced avocado after pizza has baked

Tahin dressing
1 tsp tahin
1 DL. Soy yogurt (or similar)
½ teaspoon dried dill
1 tsp. garlic powder

Pizza dough:

Dissolve the yeast in the lukewarm water, add sugar and graham flour and stir until the dough is uniform. Add the salt, and then the wheat flour a little at a time, until the dough is cohesive but still moist. Knead in a mixer or with a hand whisk with dough hooks approx. 5 min. Sprinkle the dough with durum flour and leave to rise under a damp tea towel for 35 min.

Pizza filling:

The 1½ onion is cut into half slices and placed on a pan over medium-low heat. Stir in them and pour a little water at the onions in between, this takes approx. 30 min. Finish adding the cane sugar. While the onions are frying, make the tomato sauce and the remaining toppings. Tomato sauce: Chop half the onion and garlic and fry it over medium-high heat, add the oregano and pepper. When the onion and garlic have become a little soft, add the tomatoes together with the grated apple, tomato paste and balsamic vinegar. The sauce is boiled in, on medium-low heat for 20 minutes, and then blended. Season with salt. Broccoli is cut into very small bouquets, mushrooms and peppers are cut into slices.

The oven is preheated to 250 degrees normal. oven and bake first with bottom, tomato sauce and mushrooms for 8 min. Then the pizza is taken out and the rest of the filling is put on, and the pizza is baked for approx. 6-7 min.
While the pizza is baking, make the tahini dressing. Mix all ingredients and stir well.
Serve the vegan pizza with salad and / or avocado.

Bon appetite.
